Love, Lions, and …Brooms?

Gossip, who doesn't love it? Lets face it: everyone does it. Even if it isn't intentional, things always manage to spread and we all hear it from our own 'little birds.' In some cases we are those 'little birds' ourselves. Either way, we are all affected by it and we all do it. Prepare yourselves for the terrific bits of juicy news that your favourite HEx reporters have acquired this issue…it just may concern you.

Not even the staff is safe from gossip…in fact, our superiors are in the spotlight this issue! What appeared to be an innocent outing to the Quidditch Pitch turned into an event to be whispered amongst Quidditch fans as a certain handsome staff member sat with one of his female colleagues in the Quidditch stands…but as a show of sportsmanship, the professors enjoyed both of the games with their respective Houses...together! Indeed, blossoming love does transcend colours of Houses in Hogwarts. Isn’t it a lovely display of House unity?

The students are enjoying their fair share of off-stage dramatics as well! Gryffindor has the best display of ‘Lion Lovin’ this school year has seen yet…featuring our own Head Boy. Mr. Head Boy was found with a seventh year Gryffindor Girl’s arms entwined around his in the broom closet. What were they doing? Merlin only knows, but it just so happens that Head Boy’s girlfriend (who we’ll call, ‘The Girlfriend’) accompanied by a fellow friend (lets call her ‘Girlfriend’s Mate’) stumbled upon the closet, and found the two with Gryffindor Girl’s arms wrapped around Mr. HB.

The Girlfriend stormed off in a jealous rage (but what Gryffindor doesn’t love to rush to conclusions and make a scene?) followed closely by Girlfriend’s Mate, Head Boy and Gryffindor Girl. The Girlfriend and her significant other got into a bit of a row, and she suceeded to make Gryffindor Girl quite angry. It had all been a misunderstanding, of course, but still...The Girlfriend had all right to act angry, especially since she though she saw her man cheating on her. Wouldn't you be a bit spiteful yourself?

In the end, the boiling water that Mr. Head Boy had landed himself in seemed to cool off, and The Girlfriend came to her senses. However, in a jealous rage, she managed to kick a marble bench, causing her foot to swell up. She was transported to the Hospital Wing with her Mate. Yes, jealously always manages to get the best of us. Unfortunately, some of us just chose to take it out on our poor feet.
